Since 2016, Hugo, as the Senior Vice President, Innovation and Corporate Business Development here at Nasco Healthcare, has been instrumental in the design, development, and go-to-market strategy of three major products in the medical simulation marketplace.
Under Hugo’s leadership, Nasco Healthcare launched ALEX PCS – the first full-body patient communicator simulator, Casualty Care Rescue Randy – the premium solution for TCCC/TECC training needs (powered by Strategic Operations Hyper-Realistic® Technology), and TERi – the first androgynous trainer for comprehensive elderly care medical simulation. Most recently, Hugo was the backbone behind the global strategic partnership agreement with SKILLQUBE GmbH to bring the most realistic patient monitoring and medical device emulation solutions to the marketplace.
Hugo is a transformational leader with exceptional leadership and management skills acquired from over 20 years in the healthcare industry. He has transformed a geographically dispersed team into a functional, high-performing, world-class organization. Hugo is known for his strong leadership, for propelling innovation and growth, dedicated work ethic, keen business acumen, fantastic intellect, and strategic thinking.
As a biomedical engineer, Hugo developed his core leadership competencies first as Director of Engineering (New Product Development) at Meti, then as Vice President of Technology and Innovation at CAE Healthcare.
